Removing inbox overwhelm, saving hours a day with a magical task automation tool and "No call" days...

#016 - Mastering Outbound Sales Tech

Happy hump day. Let’s save you some time today…

Over the shoulder tutorial (kinda)…

How I save 2 hours a day managing emails

🕵️‍♂️ What - Fyxer is an AI tool that triages my incoming emails and automatically organises them into categories. Since using it, I receive 3-5 emails in my inbox each day. It can also draft responses to emails which saves me the time and effort to type a response.

🤷 Why - Managing my inbox used to give me anxiety and seeing so many unread emails at 6pm was very overwhelming. I thought about hiring a VA, but didn’t feel too comfortable with handing over the keys to so much personal information (travel plans, banking, subscriptions etc). I started using Fyxer 4 months ago - and I’ve never felt so zen about looking at my inbox.

💡 How - Sign up for a 14 day free trial and within a day you’ll see a decrease in the noise and distractions in your inbox. Within a week, you’ll wonder how you lived without it.

Thank me later 😉.

Tech worth checking out…

Magical - Make tasks disappear. Like magic.

🕵️‍♂️ What - A powerful chrome extension that automates repetitive tasks like filling out spreadsheets, updating CRM’s, scraping websites, autofilling forms and writing notes.

🤷 Why - Copy & paste is soooo 2023. Magical’s autofill automations work on over 30,000 apps and saves you from having to switch between tabs. If you’re doing a lot of list building and data entry it will save you a lot of time.

Beer thoughts…

No call days…

Introducing days in my week that I don’t take any calls has been a game changer for me.

Currently, I only take calls on a Monday and a Thursday from 1pm - 6pm.

I also know that I won’t be getting any deep work done on those days (I like to reserve my energy for the back to back calls) so I tend to schedule in light work like catching up on admin or even going for a coffee with a friend/ a new contact.

I’ve divided the rest of my week up with “deep work” sessions and other activities.

This helps me be more productive and get in the zone faster with work that requires focus.

If you struggle to get through your tasks each day, then I recommend that you try adding in at least one day of no calls.

Then add more (if you can).

On and up!
Mark
